Dear Friend,
Welcome to Hope4tomorrowbahamas!

Our mission is to educate, empower and encourage persons about the disease cancer. To give persons who are fighting cancer HOPE for a better and brighter tomorrow. By having HOPE you will be determined to survive.

When you have been diagnosed with any type of cancer, your world is turned upside down and forever changed. All your feelings, from helpless, HOPELESS to angry or depressed are normal and okay. You will find yourself worrying about everything like, "am I going to die" and "is this a problem I can fix". For me it was an emotional roller-coaster. You will probably find it hard to focus on work, household responsibilities, or other demands. You must slow down, decide what treatment plan to follow. Make sure its a treatment plan you are comfortable with. Ask lots of questions, especially about the stage of the cancer, the aggressiveness of the cancer, the various treatment options, the pros and cons to each type of treatment, the duration of the treatment and the side effects. Research the information from a reliable source. Remember, you are the "Boss", it is your body, and your treatment decision to make. Take charge of your health, keep HOPE alive regardless of how difficult your situation is. Remain positive, this is what it takes to get well again.

Your approach to beating cancer should include  new and better ways to take care of yourself; mind, body and soul. This is where true healing begins. Exercise daily, this keeps you strong, fit and help speed up your recovery.  Remember an exercise program don't have to be an old fashion workout program, lots of fun activities like dancing or riding your bike around the block qualify as exercise.

The path through cancer requires hard work and discipline. Live life day by day and don't worry about tomorrow, next week or next month. In order to live a healthy life its important to live a balance life. There must be balance with your work life, a proper diet, daily exercise and sufficient rest. Another key component to your recovery is having support. Either through love ones, family members, church members or friends. Having support gives you confidence, spiritual strength and makes the journey to wellness easier.

Even after a cancer diagnosis, you can live "A GOOD LIFE".

Our Prayer - It’s a Good Thing to Hope for Help from God - Lamentations 3:19 – 29

I’ll never forget the trouble, the utter lostness, the taste of ashes, the poison I’ve swallowed. I remember it all—oh, how well I remember the feeling of hitting the bottom. But there’s one other thing I remember, and remembering, I keep a grip on hope: God’s loyal love couldn’t have run out,
his merciful love couldn’t have dried up. They’re created new every morning. How great your faithfulness! I’m sticking with God,  I’m sticking with God. He’s all I’ve got left. God proves to be good to the man who passionately waits, to the woman who diligently seeks. It’s a good thing to quietly hope, quietly hope for help from God. It’s a good thing when you’re young to stick it out through the hard times. When life (and treatment) is heavy and hard to take, go off by yourself. Enter the silence. Bow in prayer. Don’t ask questions just Wait for hope to appear. Selah!
